These warm-hearted adventurers are my kind of people! Riley & Megan have such a wonderful love story that a glorious Mt Rainier elopement felt only fitting. They met when they were in college, but a big decision came when Riley moved to New York City for work. After thoughtfully considering life apart, they decided to start their lives together in NYC!

Years later, the Covid pandemic meant that they had to leave New York, so they ended up signing a lease in Phoenix, buying a red mustang & taking a road trip from WA to AZ! I told you they were adventurers, right? We knew that this fearless spirit had to be reflected in their Mt Rainier elopement.

Planning the Perfect Mt Rainier Elopement

I loved working with Megan & Riley to plan their wedding day out in the mountains here in Washington. They wanted to combine intimacy, adventure, and family celebration – so after some scouting & research, we came up with the perfect plan for their Mt. Rainier elopement.

We landed on the most outrageously beautiful spot – a place where a river formed a foaming crystal-blue pool. Riley waited there until Megan appeared for their first look, & then they said their own private vows, surrounded by the sacred beauty of Mount Rainier National Park.

After that, they headed back to the house they had rented on the edges of Mt Rainier, where their loved ones were waiting to witness a family ceremony! Then they celebrated with a dinner outdoors with the mountains in the background, soaking up every second together.

Getting the Best of Both Worlds

Holding two ceremonies as part of this Mt Rainier elopement was unconventional for sure, but it ended up being perfect for this couple – they got the intimacy of an elopement and the celebration of a micro-wedding.
