Boho Utah Elopement

I know I say this a lot…but this boho Utah elopement was a TRULY breathtaking experience. Days like these have shown me the unexpected beauty of a desert setting — a reminder of the uniqueness of our world’s landscapes and how there are always new forms of beauty to witness!
Kenadee and Brock were my adventure buddies for the day, and they made it SO fun. They both live in St. George and love spending their (many) sunny days by the water, admiring the way the vibrant orange sandstone contrasts with the vivid blue water — occasionally dipping into the refreshing waters, because…why not?
This sweet couple allowed me into the planning process for this day, which meant the world to me. Especially since St. George is their stomping grounds! I helped them pick the perfect spot for photos (an area I loved in their favorite Sand Hollow State Park) and even helped design their florals! You can see more about a floral + photo package on my website here.
Why Choose Utah for your Boho Elopement?
I absolutely love the otherworldly look of the landscape in Utah, and especially St. George. The rippled sandstone and the endlessly interesting mounds of rock butting up to the blue reservoir make for some incredible photos. I also loved the time of year we took these photos: the spring breeze was magic, and the desert gradients of warm color were breathtaking. And the SUNSET — perfect gold held in clouds and beaming brilliant light.
My hope for their elopement was to showcase their love alongside the unique, monochromatic look of the landscape: to fully showcase the deep orange and red hues of the desert alongside a dress and floral color palette that seamlessly fit the backdrop.
I had the best time with this shoot (and this couple) and I hope you enjoy the full gallery below! My goal as a photographer and adventure pal is to create moments that make you feel alive, rested, and seen — all while surrounded by stunning landscapes. I’d love to connect and make this a reality for you and your loved one!
