This year, after months of planning and dreaming about where I wanted this business to go, I finally launched a new name and vision: In The Alpenglow! And here’s why it’s a big deal to me: this isn’t just a name change, but a step towards building a brand to honor the landscapes I love. Mountain alpenglow, with its fleeting brilliance, paints jagged peaks with vibrant color only for a moment. So similar to the powerful adventures I love to go on with my couples for their elopements!

Whether you’re eloping, engaged, expecting, etc., these radiant experiences are short in the grand scheme of it all. With every hike and mountain top sunset, we’re illuminating this very specific season of your moving lives and all of its significant beauty, held in time by the images we create. And so began In the Alpenglow! Fortunately, when I decided to make this change — the perfect opportunity came to show off the beauty of a mountain alpenglow elopement.

A Wintery Mountain Alpenglow Elopement in the Tetons

Emma and Paul were drawn to this natural phenomenon that filled them with wonder and flew all the way from Texas to the Tetons for their elopement weekend, hoping for the mountain alpenglow to color their elopement memories. They rented a beautiful log cabin, with the mountain range in full sight from the backyard. Their elopement celebration was filled with hot tub dips, crosswords + sipping on coffee, a private picnic in the backyard of their Airbnb, followed by an early morning adventure to Grand Tetons National Park for a sunrise vow exchange.

Planning the Perfect Mountain Alpenglow Elopement

One of the best parts of the day was getting a chance to work with Emma. She actually owns her own elopement planning company, So Golden Wedding Co, and it was really special to work with her on her own day! We were aiming for the perfect pink and gold mountain alpenglow color, so the elopement florals and their elopement outfits mimicked those radiant hues to bring out its brilliance. The florals were a wonderful blend of wild, funky, and bold.

Looking at these photos reminds me of how spectacular mountain alpenglow can be — and how witnessing a backdrop in the mountains like this will not only take your breath away but create a space to slow down and take in the beauty around you!
