Mt. Baker Hygge Hus Elopement

A Perfectly Moody, Mt. Baker Hygge Hus Elopement | In The Alpenglow
You’ll often hear me make the case for the special experience & rich memories that come with elopements. Not because there’s anything wrong with a traditional celebration. But because I think many couples need to hear that it’s ok to want something small, intimate and unique. In fact, I like to think that I can play a role in giving my couples the permission to be brave and dare to embark on a different kind of adventure as they promise forever to each other. For this reason, I’m so excited to share Heather & Mario’s elopement at Mt Baker Hygge Hus with you today.
Heather and Mario’s Mt. Baker Hygge Hus Elopement
Heather and Mario are the kind of couple that you just always hoped existed out in the world. They’re high school sweethearts and started dating on 11/11/11, which quickly became their magic number. They even made a wish together at 11:11pm that night and continue to make a wish for their future on that day and time each year! Is there anything cuter? To no surprise, they got married in 2018. As beautiful as the celebration was, they always dreamed of what it would have been like to elope in the mountains. Because of this, for their 11th anniversary, they decided to recreate their wedding day with a vow renewal in Mt. Baker National Park. Mt Baker Hygge Hus was the perfect airbnb destination for spending the day focusing on their love story — amongst the lush, green pines and ferns that encompass the property.
Why a Mt Baker Hygge Hus Elopement might be for You
What I hope you see in these photos is the relaxed, easy love of Heather, and Mario and how perfectly the scenery of Washington reflects it. We had the most laid back, intimate day and an experience like this is exactly what I wish for all of my couples. Specifically, the coziness of Mt Baker Hygge Hus in the woods, rain droplets falling from trees as our soundtrack, candles flickering and a fire roaring. Above all, your once-in-a-lifetime love deserves this type of celebration! Imagine, a day spent in a place that forces you (in the best way) to slow down and feel washed in gratitude for each other and the world around you.
And so, I hope you enjoy this gallery and feel the freedom to dream about ALL that your potential elopement could be. And if you’re looking for a potential friend + photographer to capture those moments, I’m your gal! Head to the link below to start a conversation.
