One of the reasons I was so excited to move to Washington was the dream of photographing a moody, PNW cabin elopement. I pictured couples exchanging vows in evergreen forests covered in moss, finishing the day cozied up in front of the fire. Fast forward to this day with Bryce and Melissa, who made that dream come alive! Nestled deep within the enchanting woods of Washington State, Bryce and Melissa’s Canyon Creek cabin elopement was nothing short of magical.

They landed on Canyon Creek cabin after an extensive search on Airbnb for unique, nature-inspired venues. Of course, it turned out to be the most idyllic choice with tons of charm and tranquility.

The Canyon Creek cabin’s magic lies in the lush forests and whimsical cabin design. The blankets of ferns outside combined with the cozy cabin interior (and HOT TUB! a must if you’re eloping in the PNW) made it an absolute haven, and it perfectly fit the intimate vibe that Bryce and Melissa were looking for. And to top it off: the sound of the babbling creek was the ideal soundtrack as they exchanged their vows.

One of my absolute favorite parts of this day was witnessing the beautiful bond between Bryce, Melissa and her daughter Tavi. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Tavi was deeply invested in the day’s events. She eagerly helped her mom prepare for the ceremony; her excitement palpable. The highlight of the day was seeing Tavi spin around in her dress for Bryce with pure joy on her face…a moment that was such a lovely reminder of how this elopement wasn’t just about Bryce and Melissa but also about the new family they were creating together.
