A Dreamy Mt. Rainier Wedding Weekend | In The Alpenglow

A type of wedding day that I love to witness is one that makes the outdoors the decor — when a couple lets beautiful natural spaces serve as the backdrop to their memories! And there is no shortage of places to do this in the Pacific Northwest, especially if you’re wanting a Mt. Rainier wedding. I had the honor of capturing this beautiful day at the Wellspring Resort & Spa, an intimate and serene retreat just outside the entrance to the national park, for a couple that has quickly become dear friends: Annalise and Victor!

A true northwest couple, Annalise grew up in Seattle and Victor is from Alaska! But their work and passions have taken them all around the world. They did long distance while Annalise was working in Namibia for the Peace Corps and traveled around the world to spend time together — meeting up in the U.S., Namibia, Thailand, and South Africa in the span of just two years. When COVID hit, they settled down together in Seattle with their two precious pets aaaand the rest is history.

Their deep connection was so evident through their relaxed nature and the outdoor oasis they created during their wedding weekend. When we spent time together ahead of their day, they shared their vision of a day that would be an elegant and relaxed forest party — where everyone feels at ease and for the day to represent who they are as a couple. They wanted to incorporate neutral colors and refined details, but ultimately let the natural beauty of their surroundings to take center stage. They truly valued all things real and authentic, …aka my kind of people!

What makes a Mt. Rainier Wedding special?

I loved so many things about this day. The cabins lining the property were wonderfully picturesque and it was so fun to see their friends and family not just gather for one day of whirlwind fun but enjoy a full weekend together in the northwest. And THE best parts? Annalise and Victor’s giddy love for each other at every turn making me teary eyed. The abundant mossy trees and the sun dappling through them. Their first look and the excitement on their faces as they imagined their future together. I will forever hold this weekend dear, and I’m so excited to share the full gallery with you below!
